Life Sciences are amongst the high-tech areas of value in which Politecnico di Milano can significantly contribute to Italy’s economic development. One of the next challenges will be to help us transitioning towards a predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory medicine: Politecnico di Milano’s multidisciplinary research approach is key to this transition. In our labs, our core competencies mash up with medical and biological sciences, aiming to provide a better understanding of the processes guiding the human body and what threatens it, develop new technologies able to face emergencies, supporting therapies, tissue or organ substitutes, devices, and early diagnosis methods, as much as to improve the health services and the economics behind it.
