Europe has made a commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. The urgency of climate change is a main pillar of the Next Generation EU – the Recovery Plan for Europe, and a core research field at Politecnico di Milano, where we believe the Green Deal to be an essential tool to boost and recover the European economy after the pandemic, transitioning into a resource-efficient and competitive economy. Researchers in Politecnico di Milano are working towards the development of tools and policies, designing, creating and maintaining infrastructures, exploring renewable energy sources, and addressing the challenges of a sustainable growth, to pave the road towards the energy and industrial transition.
